Health & Safety

Throughout all planning and construction work, Fenton seeks to continually identify hazards, mitigate risks and share knowledge with the goal of preventing all accidents. We ensure that all hazards, affecting both the workforce and the public, are identified and that work carried out on the works is comprehensively risk assessed. We seek to promote early risk assessment at the planning and design stages and carry this on throughout the construction phase. Risk assessments are briefed to all those involved in construction activities. Person and material specific assessments will be carried out for hazards such as HAVS, Manual Handling and COSHH. Daily pre-start briefings are mandatory for staff employed by Fenton. We expect every member of our workforce, before staring work, to have been briefed on the task to be undertaken. A point of work risk assessment will have been carried out by the foreman or ganger and his team. Tool box talks are given out to the workforce, held on, a minimum, once a week basis. All site staff are expected to partake in regular toolbox talks. These will focus on behavioral safety and include critical safety, quality and environmental information, surrounding relevant topics and hazards that are likely to be found at the worksite. Fenton Services uk Limited employ trained, competent operatives to carry out the works and operate with 100% CSCS compliance. Gangers and Forman provided will be SMSTS or SSSTS as required.
